Sleep Laboratory and Clinic

Sleep is a normal and required body function for all humans. Even though it is a normal function for most, some people do not get a good night's sleep. One reason may be due to a sleep disorder, which is defined as: the inability to sleep through the night and function to a person's full capacity/potential during the day, having difficulty concentrating or feeling tired on a regular basis.

Sleep disorders can cause life threatening situations, while most others lead to illness, lost income, and a diminished quality of life. Southside Community Hospital is able to evaluate, diagnose, and manage sleep related disorders through the services of the Sleep Lab/Clinic. Patients are evaluated by a physician, who is trained to recognize the signs and symptoms of sleep disorders. Once evaluated, recommendations for treatment options are reviewed. Working together closely, patient and physician then decide the best method of treatment.
