Same Day Surgery Suite

Southside Community Hospital now has a dedicated outpatient surgery suite located on the fourth floor. The new Same Day Surgery Suite offers patients a new, modern facility which incorporated the latest in technology. Our qualified board certified/eligible physicians can perform a variety of surgical procedures.

Although advanced age and physical or medical limitations do not rule out outpatient surgery, doctors ordinarily use the outpatient surgery setting for persons whose medical conditions are generally stable.  SCH physicians take a close look at each patient's history and current medical condition before opting for outpatient surgery.

Generally, patients tend to convalesce better at home, in a familiar surrounding; the Same Day Surgery Suite offers convenient scheduling and the ability to return quickly to work and family life.
