Respiratory Therapy

Under the clinical supervision of a pulmonologist, a physician specializing in disease of the lungs, the Respiratory Therapy Department assists in the diagnosis, treatment, management, and prevention of acute and chronic disease related to breathing. Respiratory Therapy performs mechanical ventilation, administration of aerosolized medication, pulmonary rehabilitation, arterial blood gas studies, pulmonary function studies, pulmonary stress tests, electrocardiograms, EEG testing, and sleep studies.
